I make it no secret that I am a huge Indie game fan. Although I do also love the big AAA games, there is something about a really well done Indie game that makes me smile. For those who think Indie developers are I it for the money. well think again. For all the Mine crafts and Slender mans there are a ton of unknown games that never get the love they deserve. I suppose I feel somewhat of a connection with them, because like many indie developers I do this because I am passionate about games. I don’t do it for the money, because at this point there is none. So if I can help a developer promote a deserving game, I will do just that. Independent developers tend to put their heart and soul into a game, there is no guaranteed pay day. This is part of the reason you will see a lot of Indie games highlighted on this sight. Of course I will also highlight a lot of the great AAA games, because I love gaming period. I just want to support those who are being overlooked.
So when I saw Wuppo announced and looked at a video of the gameplay, I knew I just had to let my readers know about it. It is a gorgeous looking 2d hand drawn RPG. I love hand drawn animation(I’m looking at you Banner Saga). I cannot wait to get my hands on this beautiful looking game. I will post a review come September, in the meantime here is a video along with a bit more information.
Wuppo is more in-depth than it might seem at first sight. It’s a hand drawn 2D RPG with many interesting cities to visit, societies to meet and enemies to fight, from very small, to large, to HUGE. Knuist & Perzik consists of two developers who completely developed the game by them-selves, it’s now quickly approaching the Steam release in September ’16.
After years of work on this passion project, Wuppo will launch this september, being developed by Knuist & Perzik and published by SOEDESCO Publishing, which are both based in the Netherlands.
